Born on 14th November 1964 in Kano, Babinlata has directed numerous award-winning films, including Waraka, Kadaura, and Alkawari, which have earned him accolades such as the Best Indigenous Film Award at the Zuma Film Festival and the MOPPAN Award for Best Director. His work often explores cultural themes, and he has published several books, including Kulu, In da Alkawari, and Tsuntsu Mai Wayo, further showcasing his storytelling prowess.
